“Set Yourself Free” by Ralph Marston"

---"There is no outside force holding you back. You are holding you back and you are blaming it on someone or something else. The way you are able to continue holding yourself back is by maintaining the illusion that you're a victim. Once you realize that illusion, you will naturally and easily move forward. In fact, it is easier to fulfill your best possibilities than it is to avoid them. So let go of the blame and watch the limitations drop away. Certainly there will always be challenges that hold you back. For each challenge provides you with a pathway through which you can move toward fulfillment. It is your very nature to accomplish. Lovingly accept your destiny, and allow that accomplishment to be manifest through you. Set yourself free to follow your purpose. Set yourself free to truly live."

VLCD 24 ( R2 P2 ) : 196.9

Things are going well - I started protocol strictly on Monday and am remaining strong.

I have 16 injections left and want to slavage the end of this round and make the most of it. round. I will post again when I reach 189 - hopefully soon and that will be wonderful. 186 would be ideal but we'll see - not sure what this body can do.

Has anyone experienced itchiness on protocol. I did in the first round and now it's gotten worse. When I was pregnant with my third child I was so itchy I felt like my skin was crawling. Could it be the hcg in both situations? Not sure but I wish it would subside.

Sending good loss or stabiliziation vibes to everyone.

  1. If you have 16 injections left, I have no doubt you will reach your goal- I haven't had itchiness while on protocol, but I have to ask: are you using a moisturizer or lotion? I know some people react to it while on protocol, but I never did, and my skin would have driven me crazy without it. I used Curel Original formula for each round, and never had a problem.

    lots of hugs to you!

  2. I HAVE made the oopsie rolls twice. The second batch was a bit better, but mine actually turn out too fluffy. I'd say I need to mix the egg whites into the rest of it a bit better, and maybe you aren't folding them in lightly enough?

  3. Kathryn... I too itched during protocol. I have eczema as well so I just thought it was that, but it definitely wasn't. The only places that I would itch were on my stomach and where I would inject. I assume it is from the hcg. Now, how to avoid itchiness??? I have no idea. Stay strong. I know you will reach your goal!

  4. I know women who had itchiness both with the protocol and pregnancy. :)

You're so going to make your goal. I can't wait to hear from you when you do!

  5. Kathryn: you are doing great...keep up the terrific work. As for the itchiness...Aveeno makes a nice oatmeal lotion for sensitive skin that might be soothing for you. I know, no lotions on the protocol, but if you are uncomfortable and a using a tiny bit gives you relief in those areas, you should be okay. If you want to be real strict, try rubbing a little carmex (yeah, the stuff for your lips) on the infected areas. It is made of wax, so it will have no effect on the protocol. 8. I had a bad case of the itchies as well (did with first and third pregnancy too...) so maybe that's just how it goes for some of us. I have to say I had kinda given up on the hcg diet until I started reading your and other blogs. I have no doubt that you will reach your goal, and you've inspired me to buckle back down and reach mine. Stay strong!
